The Things They Say

We haven't really been up to anything new, but Mckenna keeps me entertained by the way her little mind works. I love the imagination of little kids. The other day she told me, "mom, I know what stupid means," and I said, "ok, what does it mean?" She said, "It means that it hurts their feelings."

She came out of her play room very distraught because our TV receiver was having issues and making Dora turn on and off over and over again. She said, "mom, the TV won't stop shutting it's eyes and I'm trying to watch Dora." Sh

Then there is Kayla who is all over the place. She's too cute to get mad at her. Lately she has been pullin' these angry faces at me and then she runs away laughing like she was so tricky. This is her angry face. It is pretty funny!

Late Easter

Yes, I am just getting pictures from Easter up. It wasn't a huge event for us this year, but they did get a big bucket of candy and as you can see.. sunglasses. Thank you to grandma and grandpa Mathie for all the fun stuff you sent! They loved the color wonder stuff and they also loved the sidewalk chalk they got! I love that my girls are older enough to play together and honestly, nothing makes me happier!

Auburn

I came across this band called Auburn. I love this girls voice! I first heard her sing when I was at BYU-I and loved her performance! Out of curiosity I googled her name to see if she did more with singing since I had heard her and she is actually the lead singer of Auburn--a folk rock band! Check them out! I think they are great! Makin' it work!

I finally have a few minutes to play catch up. Why am I always catching up?

We are so happy that Jase's brother Brian got a job offer with the border patrol. He started his training this week so he has been here in AZ for few days and will be through the Easter weekend. He has been playing with the girls and they really love him. We are really excited to have close family move down here! It won't be until June that they actually move down, but that's not long considering how fast the days go by. They will live about an hour away which around here is actually considered close. It will be nice to be able to see them often. Here they are hangin' out watchin' a movie together. (Ashley--we wish you were here too!!!)

The only big thing going on right now is our yard project. We have been busy going to the dump and digging out old bushes, raking, tilling, raking, tilling, weeding..... it never ends. I actually don't mind doing it that much. It's a lot more enjoyable to work outside to me than when we were doing house renovations. I think I might have found a new hobby that will probably get a lot more fun once all this prep work is done and I can actually start adding some design and functionality to the yard. We plan to put a sandbox in soon and Jase is really set on getting his grill that he has wanted since forever.

The girls are as cute as ever.. here are some updated pictures for fun. We go to the Zoo often so one is of them at a little chair at the zoo and the others are just at home being funny!

Girlfriend

Yesterday I was out in the front yard watching the girls play. A neighborhood boy who is 7 or 8 years old was out riding his bike and stopped to talk to Mckenna. Mckenna was really excited and asked him, "do you want to come to primary with me?" and he looked at her confused. "what?" She asked him again and he again said, "what?" She asked once more, "Do you want to come to primary?" and he said, "No I already have a girlfriend." And he pedaled on his way.
