You were cool if. . . .

. . .you had a huge tube of pogs and don't forget your slammer. I know some of you probably haven't thought about pogs since you were in 5th grade. Think about it. . . it's funny.

. . . you stood in a circle playing hacky sack (is that the right name?)

. . . you had an extensive collection of beenie babies, and troll dolls. (thanks Lindsey!)

. . . you had slap bracelets and a t-shirt that changed colors when you breathed on it (thanks Katie!)

. . .you had a best friend that had the other half of you best friends necklace! (Thanks Shelli!)

I know there are more of these... I'll add more when I have time and can think of them..feel free to add to my list.

Really Big Mommies

The other day we were out for a walk. Mckenna was riding her bike while I pushed Kayla in the stroller. We were on a pathway in the park and we were coming up behind some old ladies walking. They were rather large old ladies to put it nicely and as such they were taking up the walkway with no way to get around. As we got closer and closer Mckenna was telling me, "mom we can't go, they are in the way. " I kept telling her it was ok and that they would move when we got up to them. We got right up to them and I guess they didn't know we were so close, but Mckenna stopped her bike and said--really loud and clear.." We can't get by mom, they are really big mommies!" Then they turned around and moved over. It was extrememly awkward but sooooo funny!

Gymnastics

The other night Mckenna started showing us all her moves. She loves going to gymnastics. It's really funny becuase her teacher has all these funny names for the stuff they do. So she is always saying, want to see my monkey jumps, or my banana split, or my butterfly? There is also her ending of "ta-da." Kayla of course tries to copy everything Kenna does. I'm surprised how good Kay can do. It's really funny. Here are some serious moves!

Where oh Where?

At this point Jase and I have decided to apply for jobs with ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) It's a step up and a great opportunity for Jase. We have applied to many open locations and now it's the waiting game. We could get offered several places or none. Jason has applied to these locations:
  • Omaha, Nebraska
  • Des Moines, Iowa
  • Idaho Falls, Idaho
  • Jackson, Mississippi
  • Fort Smith, Arkansas
  • Waco, Texas
  • Texarkana, Arkansas
  • Birmingham, Alabama
  • Gadsden, Alabama
  • Memphis, Tennessee
  • Shreveport, Louisiana
I am hoping for Idaho Falls, but kind of a long shot. If you know something about these places. Post me what you know. It's a little scary to get a job and go off into the unknown--exciting too?!
