No Apologies

No apologies for not keeping up on my blogging lately. With all I've had on my plate I'm content with what I've accomplished while neglecting my blogging responsibilities. Yes, it's been a month since I blogged. A lot happens in a month.

We had a great valentines day. Jason took both the girls to dinner and the daddy-daughter v-day dance, and I got to spend a nice quiet evening (doing homework, but not complaining!). The girls had so much fun, they could hardly contain their excitement.

Before the Dance.

After the dance (and some ice cream--daddy's treat)

I have great friends here who threw me a huge surprise baby shower. It's great to have friends that feel like family when you have no real family around. Because it was a surprise, I didn't have my camera darn it!

We made an overnight trip down to Bangor to get some baby stuff and just get out of the house. It was really fun to shop for 10 hours with 2 little kids being 8 1/2 months prego. No, it really was! We don't go down to Bangor--- to all the real stores ---very often so I was determined not to let anything ruin my time there.

As for a baby update: I have progressed at a normal rate and am now down to less than two weeks to my due date (March 3rd). I've been feeling pretty good actually and have been so busy with my kids, school, and church stuff that the time has been flying by. Yesterday my doctor told me that they now offer epidurals so I now have that option. Whether I choose to that route or not is still up in the air. I'm very torn about it and will be thinking about it for the next week. Also on my mind is what to name this baby. Jason has made it clear that he won't budge on the name Zenna so we have been trying to formulate a list together.

So far our list is: Halle, Aida, Alana, Alyssa, and Kylie. I am leaning towards Halle. Which do you like best? or do you have another suggestion for us? Oddly, this is proving to be the most stressful part of having this baby.

It's finally hitting me that I will soon have THREE children and my little family isn't really that little anymore. I have been realizing lately how precious time is. As I watch Mckenna and Kayla growing up I just can't figure out where the time has gone and how they got so old and smart. I know I am having another one, but McKenna, and Kayla will never be their cute little baby selfs again and that's hard for a mom to accept. I'm excited to meet my new baby girl and watch how she develops and grows. I just wish the growing didn't happen so fast.

If I'm lucky I'll find time for a couple more posts before the baby comes, but if I don't--I won't feel bad and I'll report post pregnancy! YAY!

Halle is really cute and I think it goes well with your other girls names! But in the end it doesn't matter what we think...its what you guys want!
Good luck with the last few weeks of pregnancy!

OH my gosh! How sweet of your hubby to take the girls out! I hope school is going well too! I was thinking that Halle is a VERY cute name! I have had two Halle's in my four years of teaching and both of them were to die for cute! Hopefully that helps :-) I can't wait to see pics of your new little babe! Good luck and love ya!

Halle/Kylie Mathie kind of rhymes! That can be good or bad!!!

My vote: I love the name Alana. That was in serious contention on my name list. Are you saying it A-lann-a or A-lahn-a?

Brian Dave and I are all sitting here and we all like Halle and Kylie... good luck deciding its fun and stressful to chose. I have my next boy name picked out but I have a rough time with girl names so I will be in trouble if I have a girl next. And fyi I haven't had a child naturally but I absolutely love love loved my epidural, it was nice to relax and enjoy the birth experience without the pain, I feel like it made me more aware. I had no problems and I will be choosing to have them with all my children if possible. Love you good luck with everything cant wait to see you and meet little Miss Mathie! :)

I've got a question for you!! Is Halle pronounced "Hay-lee" or "Hal-lee"? One of my cousins named her baby that same name, spelled the same way, but I haven't had a chance to ask her about the pronunciation yet!

As you know we have the rhyming Mathie names--Natalie and Ashley--never seemed to be a problem for them, so I don't think it would be a problem if you chose Halle or Kylie!

I was going to say I like Kylie best from your list, but then I realized it's pretty close to Kayla--sort of!--so I think I like Halle (Hay-lee) better!

I think all those names are cute. I like Halle and Alana. Kylie was one we thought about as well, but it is just so popular now that I couldn't do it, but I still really like it. And my sister's name is Alyssa and she is an angel... literally so I will always love the name Alyssa. Good Luck, I know the names can be stressful! But the way, my vote is if you're in a lot of pain and not dilated very far get the epidural, if you're close just hang in there without it! I only say that because we already know your strength with your previous labors! Good luck! Can't wait to hear how it goes!
